my cat. the princess of all things, including big scary vacuum cleaners and plastic bags that send her flying through a room only to crash into a corner, is sulking. she knows that one of her fans has left the building. although she did what she could to prevent him from walking out the door by jumping up onto his bag, in protest ::mmroaw:: [add sad sad confused look], and riding from living room to kitchen (about five steps. thats a lot for a princess to do you know).

since glowie has left, kaisa-fluffy-pants-stink-pot-shiasa, has held up her post, stretched out on two chairs beneath the kitchen table. she didn't even bolt for the door to go down the stairs when i opened it to get their food. this is something that has never happened. she even allowed lyra (little-ms. b) to eat first. she did momentarily get down to stretch out and get attention from elese while she (elese, not ki-ki) was cooking her dinner. but as we all know, it's hard for a lebsack to concentrate let alone give full undivided attention when a stomach is saying, FEED ME DAMN IT! I'M HUNGRY!! elese did go over and stroke her and love her, but it wasn't the full hours of love and commitment she wanted. so she is back at her post, semi-glaring at me through a table leg, half asleep, but with her ears back.

all this is to say, the lebsack sisters (emily, elese, and utie) are excited for glow to be moving to seattle, but my princess of a feline is even happier, even if she doesn't know it yet.

this was totally weird for me to take. i feel half of my friends are more family then lovers. i only have a handful of friends. maybe that's why i don't write that often. no one is cruising me and i'm not cruising lj either. hrmmm...interesting thought.

to my confession that i don't post much because i have a neuroses about being seen un-educated....

to that i say...

during a fifteen minute trip to the grocery store, on a tuesday night, i run into six people i know, from six different affiliations. that goes for everywhere else i go to. the movie theater, diner, bank, park, library, book store, anywhere...

it's kind of nice. also refreshing that i'm only here for two weeks, and i'll have probably seen a quarter of the people that i know here.

things i love about home:
being able to take a bath, playing cards for hours, reading, staying up late reading and then sleeping-in, cooking meals i've wanted to cook for months but haven't been able to buy the food for, eating yummy food with my family, snow, sleeping and snuggling with my mom, snuggling with my cats, being able to see a movie at a movie theater for only $2 (i know!! wonderful huh!!) did i already say reading and playing cards? the un-picked over-ness of thrift stores, cheyenne prices, not having to pay a part of the tab at restaurants :::guilty feeling here:::, going through old boxes and finding treasures i packed up, the stars, the way the air smells, seeing the mountains at the colorado/wyoming border, the way the air smells, realizing i still have 10 days to love home and then go home...

if you had to predict the next big choice that life will present to you, what would it be? and, if you where right, would you want to keep your answer, so you would be "better prepared", or would you want to change it, so you wouldn't know what the future holds?
